July 2015

We did a lot during this past month. I could make several posts out of it but lets not...

We went to Lowes and Home Depot a lot just to get some free toys.
For the 4th of July we went to the Zoo. It's such a small zoo packed with peacocks, alligators, zebras and two tigers. The best part of the zoo is when you step on tons of pig, goat and sheep poo so you can pet them. After the zoo it started raining like no other. The wind blew the rain under our door and flooded our entry way. When it got dark we went outside to see if we could see any fireworks we sat on the curb and watched the crazy neighbors from across the street light off tons of them. Our kids love fireworks! So for forty five minutes Hope made sure all of us knew fireworks were going off and made sure we were all looking. She also said the word "Whoa" a million and a half times. I've never laughed so hard watching fireworks.

It was free chick fil a day if you dressed up like a cow so of course i made my kids be cows. Rhett kept asking why he had to be dressed up like a cow if he was going to get chicken, he was so confused!
Since we moved to the South we always said we wanted to go to the beach. Finally after 2 years we made it. There is a reason why people usually don't go to the beach in Mississippi, it's slightly dirty! But we loved it. We first went to the USM campus in Gulfport and fed tons of turtles in the little stream. Our kids said it was their favorite part of the day. Then we headed to the beach. The water was warm and dirty and pure awesomeness due to our kids shrieking from pure happiness. We met some people who had caught a shark that morning. Rhett found a stick and then would just sit in the water with his stick pretending to fish. Hope laughed so hard as the sand went in her swim suit.

Spencer has worked really really really hard for the past 2 years! He passed his licensing test and then he graduated from school. People this means we get to have a grown up job. I'm so proud of Spencer for working hard, overcoming so many obstacles, and bettering himself! It was an awesome graduation. They didn't talk very much, then we ate and watched a short video. Every graduation should be like that. Congratulations Spencer!

So it's hot outside!!! we can't go outside to play so Spencer came up with a great plan of putting tattoos on our kids. We did it for an fhe when Rhett was a little baby and Spencer realized we never did it for Hope so of course we needed to do it to her. Our kids picked the tattoos they wanted and wear to put them on. The next day at church Hope lifted her dress all the way up to show people her tiger, and Rhett was really excited to show off his tiger on his arm to all his friends.
