It Snowed In Mississippi

Yesterday it snowed!! It was kind of a big deal here in Hattiesburg.
Snow only comes maybe once a year (if we are lucky) and lasts for a very short amount of time.
All our neighbors were outside freaking out about it and they couldn't believe I didn't have my coat on.
And of course the missionaries and I (meaning those from Utah) were taking pictures of it.

One Month

It's hard to believe that our little Hope has been with us for an entire month. She puts up with a lot! Her brother really likes to "help" take care of her. He will bring her a burp cloth and wipe her face, put (shove) her binky in her mouth whenever he gets the chance, he tries to burp her and if her bottle is out he will want to put it in her mouth. Rhett really does love her though. Any where we go he makes sure everyone knows that she is his baby and every time he wakes up from his nap or in the morning the first we hear him talk about is "da baby". Hope has gotten a lot fatter. On Sunday at church an 8 year old girl came up to me and said "Hi, how is Miss Hope doing today? Her head looks a lot bigger this week!" We sure do love our little Hope!

Chuck E Cheese

We went to Chuck E Cheese yesterday for a birthday party and Rhett loved it!
He especially loved throwing the football at one of the games and of course Chuck E Cheese himself. When we got home he told us there was a "BIG BIG MOUSE" about every few seconds for the rest of the night. Rhett is finally getting more teeth which makes him wake up at night and he just needs a little reassurance that we are here and then he goes back to sleep. So at 4:30 in the morning while I was up with Hope, Rhett woke up screaming for his daddy. Spencer went into his room gave him a hug and a moment later that little boy was immediately talking about the "BIG BIG MOUSE!" Spencer left his room and every so often for the next hour and a half we heard Rhett continue to talk about that mouse and how big it was. Even at church he continued to talk about how big the mouse was and he made sure everyone he saw knew he had seen it.

But as one of our friends said to me "at least you don't have to hear about the moon for a while..." it's true, getting a break from hearing about the moon every night will be nice. So to Chuck E, thanks for being such a "BIG BIG MOUSE!"

"Hope"ful Adventures

So let's just post some pictures shall we...
First day at church

First bath
New Year's Eve came this year and yes we did stay up even though we have a newborn and a child who is teething and is now getting up during the night. We are just that hard core! Spencer did get a reminder from his mission president though saying how we really didn't need to stay up because the new year comes whether you are in bed or not. :)

She smiles all the time

This year for our anniversary thanks to my sister Michele we went to Leatha's Bar B-Que Inn. There is a difference between white man's BBQ and black man's BBQ and Leatha's did not disappoint. The inside was very old and most likely hasn't changed in decades. Rhett loves his pork ribs! We asked him if he wanted more potatoes and he responded by saying "NO! MEAT!!!" And meat he ate.

We have been married now for three years. In three years I have had 3 jobs, Spencer has gone to 3 schools, we have moved across country, and now have 2 kids. There have been a lot of changes in such a short amount of time, but we wouldn't have had it any other way.

December 2013

December 2013

-Spencer finished his first semester of grad school and he did great. This next semester he starts seeing clients so it should be interesting

-We went to see Santa a few times and both times Rhett was terrified. We told him Santa was just a grandpa, he liked that idea but he still refused to even look at the man.
-We went to the zoo to see the lights, but really we just went to ride the train and the horses

Rhett now wears the greatest sports coat to church
We decorated our tiny tree

We saw more Christmas lights

Then I had a baby

Then we did other things like Christmas and such but somehow the camera is lost (Sad Face) so since we can't post pictures lets just not talk about it
