June

June was a busy month for us. There was no way we could fly back to Utah to see family while living here in Mississippi but due to having an amazing tax break named Hope all four of us got to fly to Utah to see Spencer's sister Dolly get married. Spencer was able to stay for a week and then fly back home for school, while the kiddos and I stayed for a few more weeks. My parents are amazing and I'm so glad we got to go spend so much time with them. Rhett especially loved going to "backas" (grandma and grandpa) house. He loved running up and down the big hallways, playing outside in the grass, pushing the red wagon, watching soccer and playing with so many new toys. But he especially misses his Uncle Daniel! Since we have been back home Rhett has had several melt downs because he needs to go to Uncle Daniels house or go in Uncle Daniels car or play with Uncle Daniels kids. Every day he has to find a picture of my family and point out his Uncle Daniels to us. My brother Daniel took us to the Bean Museum (a museum in Provo full of dead animals it was like the zoo except it didn't smell and it was free), a movie, and took Rhett on lots of merry-go-round rides. But most of all Rhett loves my brother because he has a dog, Pip may not like Rhett at all since he fell on him, poked him in the eye several times and dragged him around but Rhett loves him! We were really nervous about taking our kids on the plane ride. I was so afraid they would scream the whole time. But we couldn't have had better kids. On each flight hope would fall asleep for the first hour and then wake up so happy and play the rest of the time. Rhett loved going up in the airplane and seeing the water and trees outside the window. Thanks to "Backa" we got some new toys for the plane ride back. A Spiderman, a little motorcycle and lots of stickers which entertained that kid for hours! On our first flight home as soon as we landed Rhett fell asleep. I couldn't get him to wake up at all so he could walk himself down the plane until I asked him if he wanted Curious George fruit snacks and all of a sudden he was perky and ready to get off the plane. At one point the man sitting next to me asked me a question, I turned my head and when I looked back down at Hope Rhett had stuck his sippy cup full of apple juice in her mouth, the girl had never been so happy. When I took it out of her mouth Rhett proclaimed "no mama Hope want more". He can be the best brother ever! Thanks Mom and Dad for letting us make your house a lot noisier for so long. We miss you a lot!
