Signs

For legal reasons no pictures were taken/will be posted.

With all the election signs on people's lawns it brings back memories of high school. Me and a certain amount of friends (names are withheld for again legal purposes) seemed to have a very strong opinion of the mayor who was running for re-election that year, so we came up with a plan to try to help others see how he should not be re-elected. Mind you both of my parents as I do recall were very for what we may or may not have done.

Most days after school we would get in a car, drive around until we found a re-elect the mayor sign then one of us would jump out of the car, grab the sign and throw it in the trunk. By the end of a week or two we had "taken" (can you really call it stealing if you are trying to protest?) more election signs than any of us can remember.

Now we had to have a place to store what we had "taken" to help humanity. So we put them in the back of the bush on the side of my parents house. We started to run out of room in the back of that bush and we realized on the signs it said if you were caught stealing one off of someones property you would be prosecuted. We told my mother this and she told us we had to move them.

So we did what any smart person would do. We put all the signs back in a car and put them in the dumpster at the Food For Less in Rose Park. We figured no one would suspect us if we put them there, and besides a drug deal went down there almost daily.

Those were good times!
