Vacation

The day school got out we loaded everything in the car and set out for an adventure. We first stopped at The Great Salt Lake. Our kids had a blast throwing rocks in the water, touching salt and finding a bush covered in lady bugs! We stopped in Elko Nevada and Noah was sad because my sister Michele wasn't there. The next day we reached Livermore, California. We went swimming, played at the park, explored San Francisco and a beach where the water was actually warm. We also went to the Oakland temple open house. We could have spent hours on the tour with how many questions the people on our tour had, it was awesome! Answering those questions made us miss our missions. Michele and Jarom took us out to eat to celebrate Spencer's 35th birthday. I'm so grateful our kids get along so well with their cousins! We then headed to Las Vegas to see Leanne's family. We played at the pool, went on a hike, assembled furniture and talked way late at night. We also took our family to the strip to see the fountain show. We told them to not take cards from people and to not look at billboards because people in the photos don't have much clothes on. As soon as we got to the strip Hope very loudly says; "Dad! Dad! Look at the green lady...she doesn't have a lot of clothes on. Dad look at that other lady, not much clothes either! Wait real people don't have much clothes either it's not just the pictures!!!" So we didn't have to pay for parking we raced to the fountain show and then raced back. We were 5 minutes late but a miracle happen the bar at the exit raised back up before we put our ticket in the machine so Spencer gunned it and we got out without paying. Our drive back to Roosevelt was great even with the road construction our 4 crazy kids were so nice! Adam even only cried once because 40 minutes to home Adam got car sick and threw up everywhere! We are so grateful we got to see our family, make awesome memories, show our kids the temple, play at the beach, walk down crazy streets, go on a hike, swim, laugh, sing Disney and Newsie songs over and over again and just be together.

While michele stood in the longest line to help all the little girls use the bathroom Rhett and Noah followed this pigeon to the road where it almost got hit by a car
