At the beginning of summer this guy turned a year older. Spencer has always worked so hard for us! He deals with hearing about a lot of hard things each day and he still comes home to snuggle babies, wrestle with three other kids and listens to a crazy wife who talks about her garden and dying grass each day. Spencer also recently became fully licenced, we are so proud of him!
I endured another EEG. Which basically means they put glue and wires all over head. Then they make you hyperventilate, you then have to go to sleep for over an hour which isn't hard to do since you've been awake for 30 plus hours and when they wake you up they flash crazy bright lights at you. In the end my doctor said "well your EEG was...interesting..." apparently one line in the test was shorter than its supposed to be. Which means my seizures are very centralized and they are located right where memories are stored in the brain.
Hope wanted her hair cut so I chopped it off for summer. She keeps saying how we need to invite all her friends over so they can see her new haircut. She's such a diva!
I told my kids months ago that we were going to have a yard sale this summer. They got in in their heads that lots of people would come and buy "comic books" they would create. Meaning they drew a picture on a piece of paper and they wanted to sell it for a lot of money. In the end we compromised and sold them for 10 cents. But people are nice and wouldn't except change so my kids ended up making about 18 dollars from selling rice krispie treats and "comic books". I only made 75 cents from the junk I wanted out of my house. My kids are now convinced that they are well on their way to going to Hawaii (not that we are going anytime soon).
My neighbors have chickens, cats, bunnies and goats are on the way. Every time they go out of town it's my job to feed the farm.
Sunday afternoons now consist of Noah asleep on the couch
Mainly our summer has been spent snuggling and making this sweet boy laugh. Out kids still can't get enough of him
If you look closely Noah is holding a small figurine of the prophet Mormon. All nephite characters are depicted with headbands on. So Noah has to wear one all the time now because Mormon wears one too.
Hope got a dog mask from the library and she wore it like this in the store
Rhett woke up at breakfast and then I found him on the couch, pale. 4 hours later Spencer and Rhett were at the hospital getting an IV treatment. Rhett gets dehydrated so fast! Normal kids can have the stomach flu all day and be just fine. But Rhett throws up for 2 hours and he's so severely dehydrated that they can't read his oxygen level. They gave him a bag of saline and he was good to go. On another note when there is water in the gutter Rhett gets this bike out and mixes the water creating "chocolate".
