Here in Logan they have decided that Independence day is actually on the 3rd of July so that's when they shoot off the big fireworks, I think it's weird. We didn't know if we would be able to see the fireworks this year due to Rhett and his early bed time. But that afternoon he decided to take a 4 hour nap!! :) and by 8:00 p.m. he was ready to play. We were also a little worried that he would get scared by all the loud noises but he loved it! He loved the bright lights but he loved the helicopters that circled above us all night so much more.

On the 4th of July we had our annual neighborhood raise money for scout camp breakfast. I sat by some older people who only live in Logan for the Summers. One husband then showed up with a big brown bag and he pulled out a very large coffee pitcher he said "We've learned in all our years of coming to this thing that you have to bring your own coffee, and those Mormons don't even care!" His wife then told me that the breakfast was the #1 place to learn about local culture then any other place. I wondered how many first lessons they have heard since getting some pancakes each year. We then went to my cousins house, ate some good food, went swimming, and played some games.

On Saturday our friends decided to go on an adventure and we got in the car with them. It was a long drive for Rhett but if he had popcorn in his mouth then life was good. We went to Soda Springs Idaho and made our own soda out of the natural spring. It tasted AMAZING (or maybe not so much but it was so worth it). We watched Travis scream and jump when a snake was found, we got lost several times, had the smell of rotten egg in our nose due to the geyser, got sprayed by the geyser, found the greatest park with scary teeter totters, went to Bear Lake and of course ate some good shakes.
*Thanks to Lauren Pace and Stacie Marble for most of the pictures*
Yay! Thanks for coming on our sweet adventure with us. Wouldn't have been as fun without you guys.
