Lessons

So I've lived in St. George for the past 4 weeks and here are some things I have learned or noticed about this distant land I now call home:
-Can polygamists stay out late? Apparently in St. George they can be at Walmart past 11:00 at night. It was weird seeing them there that late
-Bugs explode from the inside out when using SHOUT
-Hot Flashes are no longer termed that, they are now called "Tropical Moments" according to Joey
-Bats live on my street
-When it's 105 degrees outside coming into your house where it is 75 degrees makes it feel like you need a jacket on
- When you think you are spraying a cockroach with bug spray and then you realize its a rolly polly potato bug, you start to feel bad as you watch it die
-With so many more radio stations than Cedar City you would think it would be better...wrong
-Living only one block away from the temple is amazing
-As events happened a few weeks ago and my friend was severely hurt more people turned to prayer. We all keep saying how it's amazing she is doing so well, how she can now see out of her eye, and how she's actually out of the hospital back in Cedar City, we forget it's because of those prayers. A reality check hit all who know her, and a bigger perspective of life starred me in the face
- I get to see the top of the temple from the window at work as I sit at the desk waiting for someone to come in so I can greet them. Seeing this everyday puts life in perspective.
-As my father would say "selling furniture is not like being a doctor, it's not life or death." Well little does he know to many people buying an end table is life or death
-Because of road work it can take 3 hours to drive from St. George to Cedar City
-Many times there is a reason why people go to a Singles Ward not a just a Student Ward and are not married. Like many of people in my ward
-Gunlock just might be the coolest town ever, especially when the town library is in a small shack in the park and their is a sign which says "take what you want, bring back what you don't"
-Before you want to buy 1,000$ barstools don't pretend that you have an unlimited budget...your husband will think otherwise, then he will start screaming at you in a store very loudly you will scream back and everyone will stand there watching to see if a fight will break out
-There are more baseball and golf tournaments in St. George then the rest of the state combined...at least that's how it feels

More lessons to come later on
